Open Account → Privacy & account → Delete account, review the explanation and confirm. In builds connected to the deletion service, your request is submitted directly and you receive a private receipt to check its status. If your development build says the service is not connected, use the email route below.
Request without the app
Email benbaler@gmail.com with the subject “Aqua AI account deletion”. Include the email linked to your account or your Aqua AI account ID if you know it. For Apple private relay, include that relay email. Guest accounts may require additional information to identify the correct record. We will verify ownership proportionately; knowing an account ID alone is not proof of ownership. Do not send passwords, sign-in tokens or payment-card details.
What is deleted
Deletion covers your Firebase account, private aquarium profiles and notes, scan predictions, water records, corrections, account-linked catalog records, processing jobs and our RevenueCat customer profile. The connected app clears local Aqua AI records and saved photos on this device when completion is checked. Clear app data or uninstall on other devices. Operating-system backups have their own lifecycle. General species catalog facts containing no personal information may remain.
Timing and confirmation
We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to shorter legal deadlines and any lawful extension explained to you. Receiving a request is not confirmation of deletion. In-app requests have a private status receipt; email requests receive a completion reply. Keep your receipt private.
Limited retention
We retain a minimal completion receipt and account-blocking record for up to 90 days to confirm deletion and prevent queued writes recreating data. Limited records may be kept longer where legally required or necessary for security or disputes. Providers may retain backups or legally required transaction records according to their own policies.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting the app or your Aqua AI account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel in Apple Account → Subscriptions or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You may request deletion without first cancelling. Refunds follow the store rules and applicable consumer law.
